Faith should make a difference in the world.
At UMCE, loving our neighbors means putting compassion into action. Together we collect food, organize community projects, and show up when someone needs a hand. We partner with organizations near and far who are doing important work in our community and around the world.
However we do it, we're making good things happen together - and you can be part of it too!
Looking for a simple way to help our neighbors? Grab one of our reusable UMCE grocery bags from the Fellowship Hall!
Each bag includes a shopping list of items currently needed by Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) and Mountain Resource Center. Just take a bag, fill it with items from the list, bring it back in the church, and drop off the bag in the bin that's located in the Fellowship Hall. We'll make sure your donations get where they need to go.
Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) - Helping neighbors meet essential needs and build stability.
Mountain Resource Center - Connecting individuals and families with resources and support.
Tennyson Center for Children - Supporting children and families with resources and mental health care.
Family Promise - Helping families experiencing housing instability.
Center for Health and Hope - Providing care, connection, and support for people living with HIV/AIDS
Resilience 1220 - Providing free mental healthcare, support groups, and more for teenagers and young adults in our mountain communities.
United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) - Through UMCOR, we join United Methodists around the world in responding to disasters, humanitarian crises, and communities in need.
Our generosity also reaches beyond UMCE through monthly Communion Offerings that support local or United Methodist-related organizations.
These offerings give us opportunities throughout the year to learn about important work happening around us and help make the work possible.
Our Mission & Outreach Planning Team helps identify needs, develop projects, and create opportunities for our congregation to serve our neighbors.
Whether you'd like to help plan a project, participate in an upcoming event, or share an idea of your own, there's a place for you.
