At UMCE, you don't have to be a member to worship, participate, serve, receive Communion or be part of our church family. You're welcome here exactly as you are!
Becoming a member is a way of saying, "This is my church community, and I want to be part of what God is doing here."
When you join a United Methodist Church, you make a commitment to support the life and ministries of the church through your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. And the congregation makes a commitment to you, too: to walk alongside you as we grow in faith and share God's love with the world.
Whether you've been attending UMCE for years or have only recently found your way here, we'd love to welcome you into membership.
Joining UMCE is a simple process:
- Fill out the Interest Form below
- Arrange a time to meet with Pastor Sarah to ask questions and get to know each other better
- Attend the next DTR Conversation (we offer these conversations three or four times during the year)
- Celebrate your membership during worship as we welcome you into the UMCE family
Our DTR Conversation is our membership orientation. You will join others who are becoming members of UMCE to learn a little more about our church, what it means to be United Methodist, and the commitments we make to one another as members.
It's a relaxed opportunity to ask questions, get to know us better, and explore whether membership is the right step for you.
