Journey Toward Racial Justice is a small group committed to learning, honest conversation, and faithful action as we seek to better understand the impact of racism in our communities and our lives. Together, we listen, reflect, and grow in Christ’s call to love our neighbors and work for a more just and compassionate world.
March 12 - June 11, 2026 - White Christian Nationalism Study
You will learn:
- What White Christian Nationalism is,
- How the movement started and is evolving,
- Why it can be harmful and lead to injustice,
- How we, as Christians, can challenge the movement's fusion of faith with nativism and white supremacy
- How we can help others to follow the teachings of Jesus and focus on loving our neighbors and being inclusive.
During this study, we will:
- Watch 2 documentaries (Bad Faith and God and Country)
- Read the book: "Bring Back Your People: Ten Ways Regular Folks Can Put a Dent in White Christian Nationalism" by Aaron Scott
The discussion groups will meet from 4:30-5:30pm MT on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month via ZOOM, beginning on March 12 and concluding on June 11. You DO NOT have to attend all group discussions. Come when you can. While it's recommended and most helpful that you complete each assignment in advance of the group discussion, it's not necessary. Just come be a part of the discussion.
Our first group discussion will happen on March 12 from 4:30-5:30 via Zoom where we'll discuss the documentary, "Bad Faith" (90 minutes).
